2025 marks a huge milestone for us—Pitt Race South Track is celebrating its 10th anniversary! Over the past decade, our track has evolved from a modest racing venue into a vibrant motorsports hub where adrenaline, passion, and fun come together.
A Journey Through 10 Years of Events
Looking back, it’s hard to deny that the South Track has played a huge part in our story.
The addition of the South Track gave Pitt Race another straightaway screeching into a hard left turn and a massive descent at turn 3. The 80 feet to the bottom of Coyote Gulch marks the first half of this technical addition. The gulch is quickly followed by a blind turn reaching into a series of esses before connecting to the less technical but much faster North portion of the full track.
Our full track has been the stage for an incredible variety of events that have kept our engines roaring and our hearts racing. From the very first race benefiting local charities by the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix to nail-biting finishes, our annual race series has showcased.
For over 24 years, we have opened our gates to families to come together for days filled with food, music, and racing. We've watched new and experienced drivers check many boxes on their bucket lists. And who can forget the smell of burning rubber and the artful dance of cars drifting through our curves just last season?
Each event has helped shape Pitt Race. But nothing shaped the facility more than the addition of the South Track—a place where every engine rev tells a story.
