Rotax Max Challenge Open- Canceled
July 3 @ 8:00 am - July 5 @ 5:00 pm
The Rotax MAX Challenge™ (RMC) is a motor sport race formula for race karts. It is owned and organized by BRP-Rotax and its distributors. The Rotax experience is all about the sport of racing. Rotax-BRP has created a program, the Rotax MAX Challenge which is designed to equalize the competition with a single sealed engine.
In the 2019 season, J3 Competition is fully re-launching the state of Rotax racing in the United States, including the Stars & Stripes ‘Open’ on the Wilson Circuit. J3 Competition will work on the development of the sport and the core customer base at the local and regional levels with the efforts to also improve the club level of karting in America.

Dear Pitt Race Karting
We are navigating unprecedented times never seen before as negative economic impacts are being placed on all business across the world. This time is extra troubling for the motorsports industry whose backbone is largely based on disposable income and social interactions, which have been grounded for the foreseeable future. We will continue to push forward for the community during this time alongside our partners, track owners, clubs and participants as we all aim to emerge stronger from this pandemic.
With the uncertain economic outlook, we will be forced to cancel our Rotax Grand Nationals event tentatively planned at the Pitt Race Karting facility form July 4-6, 2020. The unforeseen future and financial commitment required for the even to be followed through contains too high of a risk-factor. With the strong relationship between J3 and Pitt Race Karting we feel it’s best for both parties to acknowledge this reality. With a busy holiday weekend and the anticipation of America returning to a ‘normal’ way of life the schedule change will allow Pitt Race Karting to maximize the facility for strong financial and participation gains.
Due to the global commitment and mandates of BRP-Rotax the actual Grand Nationals event will continue as contracted on the global calendar and will be forced to take place over the July 4-6, 2020 at a new venue; Charlotte Motor Speedway. The event will operate under an existing event hosted by World Karting (WKA) thus creating an efficient and attainable cost structure for the event to take place for the betterment of the karting industry. With the commitment of WKA to the sport we are able to continue this historic event and keep the industry moving forward as we all work to find the correct long-term answers during these difficult times.
Regarding all other distribution activities and MoJo tire sales and support business is fully scheduled to continue forward with no issues seen present.
