VDA (Vehicle Dynamics Area)
The Allegheny Chapter of the BMW CCA is hosting a car control clinic on Saturday, June 8 on the VDA at Pitt Race. Appropriate for novices and experienced drivers alike, this one-day event is geared to provide the basics of performance driving.
After the event, you will be a safer, more competent driver on the streets. Working one-on-one with our Instructors, students rotate in small groups through various educational segments: classroom, slalom, skid pad, threshold braking, and accident avoidance. None of the segments involve timing or competition. Participants work one-on-one with their instructor at a pace appropriate for their experience and comfort level. Together, the segments improve your ability to look ahead, precisely place the vehicle, control weight transfer, steer with the throttle and brake effectively. The Car Control Clinic participation fee is $95 including a box lunch and refreshments. The day of the event registration opens at 8:00 am. Instruction begins at 9:00 am.
