Oktoberfest, the largest annual gathering of BMW Club members in the world.
In 2018, the BMW Car Club of America’s Oktoberfest—the largest annual gathering of BMW Club members in the world—will be held in Pittsburgh in association with the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix (PVGP). As part of the event, the Pittsburgh International Race Complex will serve as the host venue for some of Oktoberfest’s key driving events.
Beginning with the July 5-8 weekend, PIRC will host BMW CCA Club Racing with competitors traveling in from all over the region. And then, on Thursday and Friday, July 12-13, the BMW CCA will take over PIRC facilities for two full days and host a fantastic lineup of enthusiast events.
The impressive lineup is headlined by the two days of high-performance driving schools sponsored by Yokohama that will utilize the full 2.78-mile, 19-turn course. O’Fest Driving Schools provide an opportunity for club members from around the country to turn high-speed laps at PIRC while learning valuable driving skills.
In addition, the club will hold their annual O’Fest autocross sponsored by Tire Rack in the paddock on Thursday. The O’Fest autocross welcomes competitors of all skill levels from novice to expert to compete in a relaxed and fun environment.
Attendees can also look forward to the Lockton HPDE Insurance Trackside lunch on Thursday featuring BBQ ribs, chicken, smoked mac & cheese, and roasted corn.
As if all that wasn’t enough, O’Fest presenting sponsor Michelin, will host a special driving experience in the paddock giving track goers the chance to sample Michelin’s latest high-performance tire. Plus, Michelin will be offering hot laps rides around PIRC during the driving school on Friday.
